How can coaching help you?

If you have just graduated from a maritime college, or if you have been at sea for some time, it is a whole new world as a seafarer. You finally have the freedom to travel, and you can start planning your future. However, some seafarers experience problems with their managers, or they suddenly feel empty being at sea. Or you may be uncertain about your work future. Starting a coaching course will help you get the clarity you need. It will highlight your strengths in your work life, and it can help you understand how you interact with your colleagues. Some of the questions I have had are • I just graduated, and I don’t know what type of job I want. How can I solve this? • I am in my first job, but I really don’t like it. Can you help me get clarity on what my next job should be? • I feel lonely when I am at sea. How can I change this? • I miss my family when I am at sea. Do I need to quit my job?
